Painting The Power Stones

My cards came into being via my own healing process following an accident in my 20’s where I sustained injuries to my back and neck. I went on to develop a post-viral illness which led to many debilitating years suffering with chronic fatigue (CFS) and ill health.

In time, and with support, I pursued a holistic dance teacher training in 2000 in Ireland over a two year period. We often danced and did meditation outside and were encouraged to journal our process in a creative way and I began painting the stones.

Healing in nature and using meditation inspired both the images painted and the insights on the back of each card. I then photographed the stones, many at sacred places, to inspire sacred land connection and these images became the basis for the Power Stone Cards.

I used my initial pack made by hand, to give my first Power Stone Path Readings. 

From there, the first design and batch of cards were printed in 2015, with the front card being replaced and reprinted in 2023, following completion of the PDF download.

You can use the cards intuitively but the PDF offers a step by step guide in helping you to get started.          

My own personal process in creating and working with the Power Stones inspired my own healing and journey working with creative expression. It also helped me learn how to honour and connect with earth’s wisdom and myself in a more sacred way.

I share the wisdom of the cards in my workshops, inspiring others on how they can be used for personal and spiritual development, inner journey work and creative process.
